Scotty's provides its beneficiaries with support and guidance throughout their childhood, into adulthood, and offers a respite, however brief, from the daily ups and downs of coping with the loss of a parent.

Assistance is available to families from the British Army, Royal Navy or RAF, and includes both Regular and Reserve forces. You can view our membership criteria here.

To get support, fill in our membership form, or our pre-bereavement membership form if a parent has received a terminal diagnosis.

Scotty's services are delivered through four family Programmes: SMILES, SUPPORT, STRIDES and START.

Smiles Programme

The SMILES Programme is about fun and engagement and includes activities, gifts, respite breaks and group events. The aim is for bereaved military children and young people to form friendships, benefit from peer support, heal with their family and feel part of a supportive community.

Respite Breaks

Free breaks at our Scotty Lodges on Haven sites, so families can rebuild together.
